Creating Space for Students This Summer
With a growing student base, we wanted to create space for the students to gather this summer.
On Saturday, June 17 the group will venture to Emerald Isle for a day trip. The group will meet, 8:00am, at Clayton Fitness and return by 7:00pm. Participants should bring a packed lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Contact Caitlyn if you are attending.
On Saturday, July 15 the group will venture to Jordan Lake for a day on the boat, fishing, swimming, or relaxing on the beach.
During our adult summer conversations, the students will gather to have a conversation around the same topic with people their age. See the Summer Conversation blurb for more details.
On August 11-13, we will gather for our first student weekend. The group will spend the weekend together for activities, spiritual conversations, and much more.
To encompass the full retreat feel, the students will stay in gender-centric homes of Mosaic members. This might sound a bit weird for those who have not participated in an event like this before. However, providing a space away from the norm will help elevate the weekend experience.
The weekend will kick off on Friday night with dinner, activities, and small group conversations. Saturday will encompass a trip to one of Raleigh’s trampoline parks, small group conversations, and assisting with the kids’ summer camp. The weekend will wrap up with worship on Sunday.
The weekend is designed for students nine years and older. The cost of $30 will cover food, lodging, activities, and t-shirt. No additional money will be needed for the weekend. Participants will need to register by July 16. Payment can be turned in on Sunday mornings or through the registration link: https://goo.gl/forms/4c04eec2Do9cxqzD2
Financial assistance is available and kept confidential. Please do not let money be the reason your student cannot participate in this event.
