New Sunday Conversation Series Starts January 7

Socrates is credited with saying, “I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think.” Our hope is to not present a narrative and encourage the Mosaic to hear things in the way we have always thought of it. Instead, we want to challenge our church community to hear things from a new perspective, which will either reinforce why we believe what we believe or cause us to be open to new possibilities.

This begins with challenging pastoral staff to grow and to learn. Our goal is to continually reexamine Scripture to discover new things God is revealing, while observing what is happening in the world around us.

Mosaic’s pastoral staff has always taken an intentional approach to why, what, and how we engage Sunday morning conversations. At the same time, we want to be open to the Spirit of God and the ongoing context of the world.

This year, we will engage four new conversations. The first conversation will begin on January 7. “Expedition: Discovering Together God’s Dreams for Mosaic,” will examine the five key dreams that came out of our Emerging Vision process. We will explore what these dreams mean for our community and what it will take for us to set out on a journey to fulfill these dreams together.
