Fall Gathering: October 29

Halloween is the one time a year it is socially acceptable to pretend you are someone else. That’s why we will hold another costume contests for the adults at the Sunday, October 29th Fall Gathering. Don’t worry, we will have games for the kiddos and a chili cook-off for all.

We have added new activities for this year, including a life-size angry birds game, battle ship hunt, and more!

This is an amazing opportunity to connect a friend, neighbor, and co-worker to our community. We challenge you to use the gathering as a non-intrusive way to introduce people to the Mosaic community.

The gathering will take place at Clayton Fitness (1370 Cameron Way). Chili contest and dinner will kick off at 5:00pm, with games and costume contest to follow. The event will wrap up by 7:00pm.

Chili Cook-Off

Charles Jackson took the contest by storm last year. It’s time to dethrone him!

So, whether you think your chili is the stuff of legends or you are just want to have some fun, the chili contest is worth a shot. Contestants can enter for $15, with a chance to win half of the entry fees. The contestants’ chili will be anonymously submitted to non-partisan group of judges to decide the winner.

Contestants need to arrive at the back left-rear entrance of Clayton Fitness by 4:45pm. Please bring the following items:

  • Serving Spoons (one small and one large)
  • Side Items that spruce up your creation, such as cheese, sour cream, fritos, or hot sauce.
  • $15 cash
  • Drop Cord & Surge Protector/Strip Cord (if able)

Contestants will fill sample cups for the “blind tasting” and then share their creation to the gathering participants.

Register by Thursday, October 26 here.

Bring an Item for Agape Kits

We are collecting items at the Fall Gathering for the ongoing Agape Kit initiative. Items can include: small hand-sanitizer, pop-top canned food, granola bars, wash clothes, soap, and bottles of water. These kits can be taken, placed in your car, and given out to people in need.

Gathering Activities

After dinner, there will be various games and activities for kids to enjoy and to win prizes.

The evening will conclude with a costume contest for adults. We will have gift cards and prizes for the following categories: Most Creative, Funniest, Best Homemade, Best Group.

All gathering guests and participants should park in the upper area of the back-parking lot and enter through the back-left door.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, we are talking about immense fun, games, costume contests, and chili cook-off…
